DJ Whoo Kid Takes Over SXSW w/Friends – Short Documentary Recap

DJ Whoo Kid and his many famous friends took SXSW by storm, Ralph Madison captured it all on camera.

In this first of many JWK Documentary-Style recaps to come, DJ Whoo Kid and a large group of his favorite artists from around the country took on SXSW 2014 with a full head of steam, belly’s full of liquor and a determination for the “turn up” as our young folks of today would call it.

In day 1, watch as Whoo and his young homies Dave B & Key Nyata out of the ever growing Seattle hip-hop scene attend the G.O.O.D. Music Showcase for a energy filled time with Travi$ Scott, Big Sean, Chance The Rapper and many more from the G.O.O.D. music family. – Many thanks to Seattle and Kube 93.3 Fm’s own J. Moore on looking out here.

As day 2 gets to an early start, checkout a quick clip from 300‘s own (Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles & Todd Moscowitz‘s label venture) newest artist, Raz Simone as he rocks a guerilla style performance on 6th street before Whoo heads over to the JMBLYA. event with Steve Aoki, IAMSU, Wiz Khalifa and more at the Austin Music Hall, presented by Pink Dolphin and ThisSongIsSick.com .

Things get pretty interesting between Days 3 and 4 when the crew makes stops everywhere from the NiceKicks.com, Pink Dolphin and AlLindstrom.com sponsored artist lounge and pool party with Just Blaze, Green Lantern and more gracing the tables, all the way to Nas rocking for a packed crowd with Flying Lotus and the lovely Erykah Badu waiting in the wings.

DJ Drama makes a lengthy guest appearance in our final day as he and Whoo Kid decide to cause a ruckus and spend their entire afternoon and night bouncing from star studded event to VIP party together, leaving up-and-coming rappers in awe on every street they passed.

To bring this crazy 4 day experience to a fitting conclusion, Drama and Whoo end things off the right way with a crazy performance at the iLLMORE with Lil’ Wayne, Young Jeezy and Young Thug all making appearances.

DJ Whoo Kid’s SXSW 2014 experience was star studded, to say the least. Checkout our recap above to see everything you missed at the year’s biggest Interactive Media and Music Conference.
