Migos Want Nas To Spit That “Ether” On A Collaboration
The Migos made a stop at Shade 45 to appear on the Whoolywood Shuffle. While on the air they discussed their latest album, Yung Rich Nation, as well as upcoming collaborations. One feature they talked about in particular was a feature from Lil Wayne on a song called “Fantastic” which will appear on their next album. Lil Wayne’s relationship with the group is a great one. The Migos went to the park with Wayne to shoot hoops while he shredded on the skateboard.
The interview starts off with Takeoff and Quavo explaining the origin of the Dab Daddy dance. Jose Guapo and Peewee Longway were creators of the dance in addition to the Migos. After talking about Waka Flocka’s favorite dance they spoke on their upcoming tour with dancing R&B singer Chris Brown which starts August 15th.
Chris Brown and Young Thug are the only two artists featured on Yung Rich Nation. Quavo described the reason for the lack of features on their album. When everyone in the trio wants a verse on a song it makes it tough to fit features into their albums. Even with the lack of features the Migos managed to grab the number 2 spot on the Pandora charts over pop star Taylor Swift.
Fans don’t need to worry about upcoming music. The group claims to have another complete album in the vault. They were excited about all the tracks that didn’t make the latest album cut. There are so many hits in the vault that they are leaking out.
Nas is named as a dream collaborator in the interview. The Migos want Nas to spit “Ether” bars on their collaboration rather than trying to match their lingo and flow.
Drake often gets credited with making the Migos hot but the two members quickly clarify that Gucci Mane was the first person to get their music to pop. The conversation changes from “Free Guwop” to “Free Offset.” The Migos explained the struggle they deal with trying to promote their music while one member is missing. They revealed that the hardest part is shooting music videos without Offset. The two members confirm that they believe they are being targeted by police because of their success.
Labelmate OG Maco has taken shots at Future in the past. Quavo says, “That has nothing to do with the Migos.” They distance themselves from the situation between the two Atlanta artists.
One of the most recognizable Migos ad-libs “gas” gets mentioned. They said their favorite weed strand is Girl Scout Cookies. They also said that Waka Flocka was afraid to smoke their “gas” because he thought they had too many chemicals in it.
Whoo Kid said when he was with G-Unit they used to run through 8 girls a night. When asked how many girls they’re with each night they had a priceless response. The interview ends with the Migos claiming, “We guess we’re the new G-Unit then.”
